Sharon Ann (Meagher) Schur died September 16, 2022 at the age of 72 after battling Alzheimer’s Disease for over 17 years. She leaves behind her husband Allan, sisters Jeannie (Earl) Rudman and Eileen (Richard) Nace, children Matthew (Karin) Schur and Christina (Drew) Sincere, and five grand-children. Sharon was an RN, graduating first in her class both at Memorial Hospital School of Nursing (Worcester, MA), and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha, NE), where she earned her BSN. After her diagnosis, she and Allan became advocates for Alzheimer’s research and treatment, as there are not yet any “Survivors’ Walks” for Alzheimer’s. Sharon’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Cottage 60 at Hillcrest Country Estates as well as Hillcrest Hospice. Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of family, and burial will be at Omaha National Cemetery.
