Barry R. Sloane, Managing Partner of Sloane Enterprises, LLP; retired Chairman and CEO of Century Bank Medford, MA.
He is Trustee of the Savings Bank Employee Retirement System (SBERA). He was awarded the Silver Beaver by the Boston Council, Boy Scouts of America, in 2007. He holds a BA and MPA degree from Harvard University.
Mr. Sloane’s charitable activities include: Chairman and Treasurer of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research at The Rockefeller University; Trustee and Member of the Audit Committee at The Rockefeller University; Trustee Emeritus of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; Trustee of Hebrew SeniorLife; Honorary Trustee of Massachusetts General Hospital; Member of the Corporation, MassGeneral Brigham; Former member of the Community Bank Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
Mr. Sloane is married to Dr. Candace Sloane, the former Chair of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Science at Brown Medical School, and a emeritus member of the medical staff at Boston Children’s Hospital. They have three sons: Marshall II, Jack II, and Charles.
