When Morning Comes

As daylight breaks the mornings dawn,
Ever since the earth was born,
People stir from their beds,
Lifting up their weary heads,
But fighting Dementia every night,
Amongst the screams, yells and fights,
I pray for, the day’s sweet dawn,
Wet with horror, like dew on lawn,
In the darkness of the night,
Hallucinations are my only sight,
Dawn arrives not soon enough,
Too end my horror, oh so tough
To face the day with flashbacks too,
Is sometimes so hard to do,
But this we, do with head held high,
Until night arrives, with a heavy sigh
