Violet Hatfield Johnson was born in Queens, New York. She was a registered nurse who spent much of her career at Elmhurst General Hospital. She had four children, and lived in Queens and Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Fayetteville, North Carolina.

I share my sorrow and condolences to my cousin's dearly departed mother. Violet Elizabeth Hatfield Johnson. She was the proud daughter of William Henry Hatfield. Who would've been my great uncle. And Violet Elizabeth Hatfield's wife i think would've been my great aunt or cousin. I am happy to know that she comes from the line of the Hatfield clan.
