Mark Au

Mark Chunhung Au, age 77 of Tenafly, New Jersey passed away on September 28, 2021.

Mark was an entrepreneur and family man at heart, having immigrated to the US to expand his family’s business from Hong Kong. While studying at the University of San Francisco, he opened Manhing Ivory in San Francisco. After graduating, he expanded the business with Manhing Imports in New York. Mark was happily married to Lily Au who was his partner in life for 47 years at the time of his death.

Mark is predeceased by his parents Wing Man Au and Sui Lan Lai, and dear brother Wilson. He is survived by his wife, two children Kelvin Au (and wife Kristi Patterson) and Karen Au Frank (and husband Eric), three granddaughters Kaitlyn, Katherine, and Elizabeth, eight siblings Irene, Wendy, Eddie, Teresa, Amy, Sandy, Kim, and Patrick, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Mark enjoyed traveling (especially on cruises) and his weekly round of golf. He has touched many lives, often helping new Chinese families to support them as they settled into the US.
