Helen Wang

<<< Return to Memory Wall

She was a wife, mother, business owner, community leader, caretaker, and the rock of her family. As a naïve young woman who ventured out into marriage and fled her war-torn homeland (China) at the age of 19, she became a resourceful and resilient survivor of the many opportunities and challenges that life dealt her. All of which she embraced with boundless energy, courage, and selflessness. She exemplified that to the very end of the life of her husband, Ming Hsien, in 2015 and to the very end of her own life of 89 years on October 15, 2019.

She was full of life, love and laughter. She was a formidable mahjong player, loved music (singing and dancing), an incredible cook and a tireless caregiver of her family. It was only a few years ago when she was diagnosed with dementia that she had to have others care for her. Helen is survived and well-loved by four children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

GOD SAW YOU GETTING TIRED

When a cure was not to be
He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, “COME TO ME”
You didn’t deserve what you went through so
He gave you the needed rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful…..

Wang Mother,
You have lived an exemplary life. Your loving heart and positive energy modeled for your children the strength of character they have grown to demonstrate. You and your family visited our parents despite the barriers of age. Friends and family were your "bread and butter". We will miss you and will always remember your kindness and generosity of heart.

We are glad you are at peace and wish you eternal joy.

In fond remembrance,
Barbara, Henry & Karen Yeh

Our thoughts turn to those we have loved who are no longer in our midst.
Though banished from our sight, they live in our hearts.
For goodness is indestructible, and what was good in their lives endures forever.
God enfolds them in the mystery of eternity, as we embrace them in undying memory.
Our sorrow is to have lost them; our privilege to have known them; our responsibility to build on their achievements.
For we honor them best when we share with others what they meant to us, and strive to fulfill the hopes and dreams they cherished.

I will always love Helen
