She moved several times throughout her childhood, but lived primarily in Logansport, IN, where she graduated from high school in 1960. She settled in Mishawaka in 1970. Barb married Gary Helvie in 1962 and had a daughter, Maria Ann Helvie Sinkovics (deceased). She married Marion (“Dean”) Falb in 1970 and had another daughter, Melissa Falb. She lived for more than 25 years with her long-term partner, Charles VanCamp, Jr. Barb worked several jobs, notably doing secretarial work and serving as an assistant manager at Hardee’s. However, she spent much of her life as a stay-at-home mom and babysitting neighborhood children. She loved sewing, scrapbooking, walking with her Yorkshire terriers, Beau-Beau and Bear, and planting flowers. She volunteered for some time with the National Suicide Hotline and the Mishawaka High School Boosters Club. In addition to her parents and daughter, Maria, she is preceded in death by her sister, Helen Louise Davis Yoder. She is survived by her brother, Walter C. Davis III; daughter, Melissa Falb (Joel Devonshire); son-in-law, William J. Sinkovics, Jr.; grandchildren, Miranda, Luke, and Jake Sinkovics, and Brendan Devonshire; great grandchildren, Zyla, Zoey, and Jasmine Sinkovics; and several nieces, nephews, step-children, and step-grandchildren.
