Elizabeth (Betsy) McHaley

Information Program Director

Betsy McHaley brings over 30 years of experience in both nonprofit and corporate communications and marketing to her position. Throughout 2020 and 2021, she was a freelance content writer and editor for the Foundation, gaining considerable knowledge of the Alzheimer’s community and the work of the Fisher Center lab. Her focus is on raising awareness of the Foundation’s Information Program, and creating and curating  information on Alzheimer’s research.

Before joining the Fisher Center Foundation, Ms. McHaley worked as a freelancer and consultant for Intersections International, a nonprofit social justice organization, as well as for various local and national branches of the United Church of Christ. She held numerous positions in those and other organizations, such as interim director of communications, event producer, project manager, website manager, and communications consultant.

Ms. McHaley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Marist College and is currently working on her first novel.
