From the Editor's Desk:
A Breath of Fresh Air
The days are getting longer, and the weather is just starting to warm up a bit. We hope this issue of Preserving Your Memory has arrived in time to help you celebrate spring. Our Spring 2013 - Preserving Your Memory magazine cover [1]cover story is a chat with writer/director/actor Penny Marshall about her mom and her new book. We also talked with Maura O’Malley of Lifetime Arts about the innovative MetLife Foundation Creative Aging Libraries Project, which entered its second phase in December.

Tom and Karen Brenner have authored a new book detailing their work with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients, and its full of ideas for caregivers seeking to reach their loved ones. And for those whose loved ones have received an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, we look at the importance of getting a second opinion when called for. On the research front, we learn about current directions in the search for better Alzheimer’s drug treatments.

We hope this issue of Preserving Your Memory is a breath of fresh air for you.

Feature articles include:

Clothes Encounters [2]: Discover some simple solutions to your loved one’s clothing needs.

Reaching Out to Caregivers [3]: A new book explores innovative ways for caregivers to reach out to their loved ones.
