Hello,

For the sixth year in a row, the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation has been selected as a beneficiary of Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners annual Charity Day event. This year, Bill Ritter, ABC Anchor, will be acting as Fisher Center’s Charity Ambassador during Charity Day, bringing energy and excitement to the trading floor, and aiming to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.

What sets Charity Day apart for us this year is our unique partnership, around a shared cause to raise Alzheimer’s research funds, with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame coach, legendary Pat Summitt and her Foundation. After Pat Summitt was diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of 59, she and her son, Tyler, announced the formation of the The Pat Summitt Foundation.

Today, Fisher Center joins Cantor Fitzgerald in commemorating those who perished in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and expresses gratitude to the Cantor Relief Fund for turning a tragic anniversary into a positive and uplifting day. Through its generosity in supporting many worthwhile charities around the world, the Fund has raised and contributed more than $280 million dollars worldwide.
