David H.W. Turner

David H.W. Turner is the Chief Financial Officer of KPMG LLP. In this role, he has overall responsibility for KPMG Finance and Accounting, which includes all financial reporting, planning, accounting, taxes, and financial systems. David also has responsibility for Operations Services, Procurement, and Real Estate.

David brings more than 31 years of business and accounting experience to his role as KPMG’s CFO. Recognized for his business and team-building skills, David spent the majority of his career at Thomson Reuters and its predecessor companies, Thomson Corporation and Reuters PLC. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President.

From 2008-2011, he served as the CFO and Co-Chair of the Operating Committee for Thomson Reuters’ Markets division. In that role, he had direct responsibility for managing the finance, business development and strategy organizations, and he also oversaw the global sales and service organization as well as strategy and strategic marketing functions.

Before joining Thomson, David served in a number of senior CFO roles in Reuters after starting his career in audit at Price Waterhouse (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) in 1981.

David is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, where he has served as co-chairman of the Fleet Week Gala and the Intrepid Salute to Freedom. He also sits on the Board of United Way for New York City, Community Centers Incorporated, a Greenwich based community charity, and is a Trustee of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research based in NYC.

In 2006, David was named CFO of the Year at The Executive Council’s New York Ten Awards and in 2009, he was honored as a “Community Quarterback” at United Way of New York City’s Gridiron Gala.
