Eleanor Tacinelli

Eleanor R. Tacinelli, 94, widow of Michael Tacinelli, died peacefully on June 9, 2021 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.

Eleanor was born January 29, 1927 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Plank) Paige and had lived in Naugatuck for over 28 years. Eleanor enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, bird watching, Frank Sinatra, desserts, dancing, and most especially her grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter and son in law, Janice E. and Gary Saam; her son and daughter in law, Michael G. and Giuseppina Tacinelli; her grandchildren, Dr. Gregory M. Saam (Cristina), Carl H. Saam, Pharm.D, Angela M. Tacinelli (Michael Tuscano), Cristina L. Tacinelli and Michael E. Tacinelli.

Eleanor is predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Nardelli (Gaetano) and Shirley Nardelli (Frank).

The family is accepting donations to The Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research in honor of Eleanor’s memory in hopes of finding a cure for the loved ones of others in the future.
