Bobbe Young Windham

<<< Return to Memory Wall

Bobbe Young Windham, affectionally known as Grandma Bobbe or “GB”, passed peacefully to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was 88 years young. She was always looking at the obituaries in the paper to see if her name was there, today she made it in. Bobbe was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on February 12, 1933, to George Robert Young and Anne Lee Owen. She was a hard working woman throughout her life and for over 40 years, she and second husband Frank Windham owned and operated Stanford Printing Company in Fort Walton Beach. For the last few years, she was a viral social media star with her grandson Matthew Stewart on their channel “GB and Me”. She had over 5.2 million followers on Tik-Tok and Instagram. Her favorite saying was “Beautimus!”

Bobbe is preceded in death by her parents; first husband Paul Stewart; second husband Frank Windham; son Thomas Stewart; daughter Judi Griffy; and stepson Jeff Windham. She is survived by her sister Judy South; brother Jim Young (Carol); sons Andy Stewart (Ann) and Shayne Stewart (Michelle); grandchildren Karl, Matthew, Kathryn, Cody, Rebecca, Rachel, A.J., Paul and John; 16 great-grandchildren; beloved nieces Leigh Ann and Marty, and nephews Paul and James.

A private family service will take place later. Her ashes will be scattered at the places she loved the most. If you wish, donations can be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research in her memory, alzinfo.org. The family wishes to recognize the nurses and staff of the Manor at Bluewater Bay for their excellent care of GB while at the facility. You are all angels in our eyes, and we cannot thank you enough. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emerald Coast Funeral Home.

I follow GB on TIK TOK. I was upset to see that she had passed away. GB you and your family are in my heart and prayers. You sure knew how to put a smile on my face. When I was sad and crying your videos would pop up and make my day better. I sure miss your voice and videos.
