Hi my name is Terry I am 45 married and a mother of 5 grown children 3 my own and 2 step. My youngest is 18. A couple of years ago i started with short term memory lose mixing up my words and like going blank. I went to an MD and nerolgist had a full work up checked for everything lymes, sizures MRI and testing. MD nero with tears in his eys said i had alzhiemers well being a RN ( I just knew he was a "quack" ) and never went back. (Denial) I then quit work moved and bought some farm animals things seemed to get better. I went back to work and did fine for a year was permoted (sp) became very fatigued and was unable to sleep memory problems and word finding came back went to new md she said i was to young to have alzheimers and said it was a migraine syndrum. Well quit work again and went with husband out of country for a few months going home in 2 weeks and plan to follow up with mamory specialist. I am very scared i will just blank out not able to follow a conversation. Trouble with finding the right words ect. Husband and daughter that came to visit are very conserned.
I am researching everything and frontal lobe dementia seems to fit. But then I think maybe its just fibro fog form fibromilagia.
Sorry so long angry, confused and scarred.
Thank you for telling your stories and helping with my research

Terry....sorry to hear of the problems you are having and also about your fibromyalgia. Maybe the third time is a charm. I hope someone comes up with a diagnosis.....no matter what it is....because, I know you are feeling frustrated right now. I am 60 years old and was diagnosed when I was 52 with Vascular Dementia caused by multiple mini strokes. Research is good and do not give up. There are many here to help you along and also a few here who have some type of dementia. Please keep us informed and come back often. It is great that you found us and check out the www.alzinfo.org for more information. I will be looking forward for further correspondence from you.
