Michael Stern - President and CEO; Chairman
and CEO of the Michael Stern Parkinson's Research Foundation
and a trustee of the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum,
the Fisher House Foundation and the American Medical
Association Foundation. Mr. Stern has been a war and
foreign correspondent over the last five decades. He
is the author of seven books and a producer of several
motion pictures. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, from which he received a Bachelor of Science degree. |

Dr. Paul Greengard -Director of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research at The Rockefeller University
Dr. Paul Greengard was awarded the year 2000 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his pioneering work in delineating how neurons communicate with one another in the brain. During a half-century of research, he has been lauded for his singular contribution to our understanding of the complex signaling process that occur within each of the 100 billion or more nerve cells in the human brain. He is the Vincent Astor Professor at The Rockefeller University and Director of the Fisher Center laboratory. Dr. Greengard is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences and has received more than 50 awards and honors throughout his career. He has authored nearly 1000 scientific publications. |

Gerry Byrne - formed Gerry Byrne Media Partners in 2002 as a full-service media and marketing consultancy to the entertainment, communications, and media industries. Primary clients include Parade Magazine, Reed Business Information, and Tribeca Entertainment. He is also chairman and founder of the newly created Quills Literacy Foundation, a Reed supported initiative, and he is leading the launch of The Quills, a consumer-driven books awards program which will debut on the NBC/Universal owned stations in October 2005.

Richard Salem - Richard J. Salem is the Chairman of Enable America, our nation’s first not-for-profit organization solely committed to the reduction of unemployment among persons with disabilities. His other business interests include serving as the Chief Executive Officer of two companies developing and deploying innovative technology solution sets: Clean Water International, which converts wastewater and solids into renewable resources, and Thermal Matrix International, which integrates sensors into “suicide bomber detector” networks. Mr. Salem also maintains a limited law practice, Salem Law Group, with offices in Florida, Washington, DC, and New York City, which, together with strategic partner firms, provides experienced counsel and support in the realm of “business to government” affairs and conflict resolution.
A graduate of Duke Law School, he is a lifetime member of its Board of Visitors, and serves on the Board of Trustees of Belmont Abbey College, his undergraduate Alma Mater. He recently completed terms on a National Institutes of Health Advisory Council, a Federal Judiciary Nominating Commission, and currently serves on the Boards of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the National Organization on Disabilities, and the Stern Parkinson’s Research Center.
Mr. Salem is married to the former Eileen Monley and has two daughters, Susan and Elizabeth. They reside in Tampa, Florida. He maintains an active role in local and state community and civic affairs, and enjoys biking, snow skiing, reading, and music. |
