David Turner

David H.W. Turner, retired Chief Financial Officer of KPMG LLP, brought more than 31 years of business and accounting experience to the role. Recognized for his business and team-building skills, he spent the majority of his career at Thomson Reuters and its predecessor companies, Thomson Corporation and Reuters PLC. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President.

From 2008-2011, Mr. Turner served as the CFO and Co-Chair of the Operating Committee for Thomson Reuters’ Markets division. Before joining Thomson, David served in a number of senior CFO roles in Reuters after starting his career in audit at Price Waterhouse (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) in 1981.

Mr. Turner is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, where he has served as co-chairman of the Fleet Week Gala and the Intrepid Salute to Freedom. He also sits on the Board of United Way for New York City, Community Centers Incorporated, a Greenwich based community charity, and is a Trustee of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research based in NYC.

In 2006, David was named CFO of the Year at The Executive Council’s New York Ten Awards and in 2009, he was honored as a “Community Quarterback” at United Way of New York City’s Gridiron Gala.
