[1]David Turner is responsible for finance and strategy for the Markets Division of Thomson Reuters, which is the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals. Previously, David served as Senior Vice President, Finance, for The Thomson Corporation and as Chief Financial Officer of Thomson Financial.
Prior to joining Thomson Financial in 2001, David worked for Reuters, first as the CFO of the United Kingdom and Ireland operations, then as CFO of Reuters America, Reuters Information division, and lastly, Reuterspace. Before Reuters, David worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in London.
David is a member of the Board of Trustees and chairman of the Audit Committee for The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, where he has served as co-chairman of the Fleet Week Gala and the Intrepid Salute to Freedom. He is also a board member of the United Way of New York City; a board member of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation; and a board member of Community Centers Incorporated, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based charity assisting the underprivileged community.
In 2006, David was named CFO of the Year by The Executive Council of New York, and in 2009 he was honored by the United Way of NYC as a “Community Quarterback,” along with IBM CEO Sam Palmisano.
David graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in economics from the St. Andrew’s University in Scotland.
