Dr. Moshe Shike

Dr. Moshe Shike is a board-certified gastroenterologist, internist, and nutritionist with a particular interest in cancer prevention, including the role that nutrition plays in the prevention and development of cancer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where he is Director of Clinical Nutrition for the Center. He is also a professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Shike is also the past director of the Cancer Prevention and Wellness Program, which he established in 1997.
Dr. Shike’s research focus is cancer prevention through nutrition and screening. Through many clinical studies, he has examined screening for colorectal cancer and the role that diet and specific dietary factors play in the stages of cancer development. His research also includes studies on ways to best provide nutrition support in cancer patients.
With fellow gastroenterologist, Sidney Winawer, he wrote the book Cancer Free: The Comprehensive Cancer Prevention Program and is the author of more than 120 research studies.
